We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Assistant to work directly for the President of an equestrian merchandise start-up company (company confidential). This position will be at the front end of the business and will also require the dedication to help the President develop and manage a successful business plan, product launch, and business operations.

We are looking for a fast paced, detail oriented and committed individual who wants a unique opportunity to grow with the company.

The Position

We are looking to hire an individual to fully support the President of the company. Emphasis will be placed on local candidates (Wellington area) that can be flexible, learn the position quickly, and contribute value to the company by helping with day to day tasks (business related and personal) for the President. We would love to hire someone with a strong, working knowledge of the equestrian industry.

An ideal candidate will start with the following:

  • High school graduate or higher
  • College degree in Business degree a plus
  • 2 years of previous relevant work experience as a Personal Assistant, Marketing, Executive Assistant, Business Management (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Be flexible: day to day changes quickly
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Anticipate needs of the President and help organize daily tasks
  • Work with business partners to keep everyone on task
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Be able to interact with clients in a professional manner to set up meetings, support in person meetings, and follow up is key
  • Perform personal tasks for the President to help facilitate a smooth, productive day
  • Manage travel calendar and requests for speaking engagements, media inquiries, trade and horse show attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation

Compensation is 100% skill-based and very competitive. We are looking for talent and those ready to learn and help our company achieve outstanding success. We are looking for someone part time, remotely, with the potential for full time as the needs of the business grow.
